Every once in awhile my Mom would surprise me with a little present. Something she'd seen that she thought I would like. Or, just because.
Well, on one of my visits last Fall she surprised me with the blue vase shown in the picture above.
She had seen it in the Smithsonian Catalog, loved the blue colors, and decided she would buy this for me - just because.
Well, when I opened it I could understand why she loved it so much. The blue colors and swirling pattern were just beautiful.
My beautiful blue vase from Mom sits on the end table in my sun-room, which was my mother's favorite room in our house.
Every time I look at the vase I'm reminded of my mother, her beautiful blue eyes, and a loving gesture - just because.
