The Love Of Crafting!

There are many things we can teach our children and so many of them are vital to their well being and happiness. To me one of those things is "the love of crafting."

Why would we want to do that?

Well, by teaching children how to craft we are instilling in them something that is so vital to their success in life. We are giving them "confidence." We are instilling in them a sense of pride, sense of accomplishment, and ability to challenge themselves. They start to believe in themselves and their abilities to accomplish something they have put their mind to. Their minds start to react to the possibilities within themselves.

They start to see themselves as more than just your daughter, or son - more than just an extension of you. They start to define themselves as individuals and as creators.

They become a person who has the ability to envision something and then create it - as a person who can dream beyond the boundaries of paper and apply their dream to reality. As a person who isn't afraid to try something unique. Who isn't afraid of "failure" for they know that in the creative and crafting world there is no "failure?" What is "beautiful" to one creator might not be "beautiful" to another but it is no less creative. And, the ability to create it is no less appreciated.

They start to learn that they are capable of many things, one of which is the ability to challenge them and create. By teaching our children crafting today we are helping them with their tomorrows. What could be more important than that?
